Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of high school students as a Resource Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment. This full-time, contract position runs from August 20, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with the potential for minor date adjustments based on the school calendar. You'll work Monday through Friday, providing specialized instruction and case management to a caseload of approximately 20 students with a range of learning needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience or practicum with high school students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to deliver Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) and adapt lessons to diverse learning profiles
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services and SDI to assigned students
- Develop, monitor, and implement IEPs for students with Learning Disabilities (LD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), and Emotional Disabilities (ED)
- Complete all necessary progress monitoring, compliance paperwork, and documentation
- Case manage up to 20 students, supporting their academic and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
- Ensure consistent student progress while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment
