Job DescriptionJob Overview:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete in various construction projects, including foundations, sidewalks, driveways, slabs, curbs, walls, and other structures. This position requires a solid understanding of concrete materials, finishing tools, and techniques, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Set forms and prepare surfaces for concrete placement.
  • Pour, level, and smooth concrete using a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., screeds, floats, trowels).
  • Apply curing compounds and surface treatments to ensure proper setting and durability.
  • Monitor the effects of weather and temperature on concrete curing times and finishes.
  • Create desired textures or finishes such as broomed, troweled, or stamped concrete.
  • Repair and patch finished concrete surfaces as needed.
  • Operate concrete saws, vibrators, and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company protocols on job sites.
  • Work closely with other trades and crew members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher (2+ years preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of concrete materials, tools, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and ability to use PPE properly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with decorative or stamped concrete.
  • Knowledge of concrete mixes and additives.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
