Hours & Schedule

• PRN (as needed) Daytime & Evening call
• No supervisory responsibilities
• No travel required
• Pay commensurate with experience

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound exams with minimal supervision. This role ensures high-quality imaging and supports timely, accurate patient diagnosis.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program approved by the AMA, meeting requirements of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred (less experienced applicants considered)

Licensure/Certifications:

• Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) preferred
• Current CPR Certification

Essential Functions

• Perform ultrasound scans efficiently and accurately for all referred patients
• Maintain the ultrasound room and equipment in optimal working order
• Position patients correctly and select appropriate probes for each procedure
• Capture high-quality diagnostic images and submit them to the Radiologist
• Use Meditech system to ensure exams are correctly ordered and documented
• Utilize PACS system for image management, CD creation, and exam submission
• Apply technical skills independently with judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Cross-train and study sonography essentials as needed
• Actively assist with additional tasks during low patient volume periods

Requirements

• Willingness to receive all required vaccinations (e.g., flu shot)
• Compliance with hospital policies, dress code, HIPAA, and safety standards
