Position Summary
The Logistics Manager, while reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, oversees the Logistics team and drives the smooth purchase order fulfillment process from order receipt to confirmation of delivery of goods in a 3PL Provider-based environment. Working in tandem with the Supply Chain Operations Manager, this role ensures excellence in service to our customers. This role must excel at managing customer expectations while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. An affinity for problem solving is a must-have trait. Success is predicated on strong relationships between many stakeholders inside and outside the organization to deliver service improvements and operational & budgetary efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar field preferred, extensive work experience considered
5 years of professional experience in a similar fulfillment-related position, 3PL Provider management experience highly favored
2 years of experience specific to Direct-to-Consumer fulfillment partner management experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel to include merging or comparing multiple sources of data, working with large datasets, and advanced functions and formulas
Competence in all aspects of EDI implementation and maintenance
Ability to both support and lead projects across multiple departments
PowerPoint capability to produce and present effective presentations to various stakeholders as assigned
Application of critical thinking skills to consider factors unique to any product, customer or warehousing partner and align efforts accordingly
Effective and persuasive communication skills
Demonstration of accountability and compatibility with Finance department requirements
Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle ERP systems is a plus
Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in Logistics functions to retain the ability to perform all duties of a Logistics Analyst and serve as a coach/player for your team
Serve as the escalatory solution provider for needs not met by typical Logistics functions
Understanding and monitoring of inbound warehouse receipt prioritization to drive best fill rates
Ensure on-time orders, monitoring performance of third-party carriers, proactively addressing potential issues and executing change requirements to reduce failure rates
Reconcile status of all domestic warehouse-fulfilled POs in progress each week
Maintain excellence in service with regards to all aspects of Logistics communication and work quality
Promptly identify and remedy carrier failures to recover and limit delays
Review & maintain compliance with customer-specific service requirements to improve service and reduce compliance chargebacks
Product knowledge including an understanding of the various formats and packaging configurations
Prepare invoices and other documents
Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned
Participate in customer and internal conference to support business needs
Team development to ensure coverage for all cross functional duties related to order processing to delivery
Review and approve invoices from Logistics service providers
Continued Development Expectations
Ensure the continued maintenance of department SOPs to match process
Develop and implement 3PL Provider score cards and drive service improvements

Physical Demands
The duties are of a professional workstation nature, typically sedentary with the normal occasions to lift approximately 20 pounds such as banker’s boxes or other files.
Working Conditions
This role is primarily based in a business office setting, which often includes companion animals in the workplace. Some remote work from home scheduling is permitted. Some non-traditional hours are required due to business partner time zones. Limited travel such as warehouse inspections and business meetings is expected not to exceed 18 business days per year.
Performance Standards
All positions at Weruva begin with a 90-day probationary period and include 30, 60, and 90-day review sessions with their supervisor. While feedback and direction will be provided as needed on an ongoing basis, an annual performance appraisal provides opportunity to measure progress and address opportunities.
