Provide critical care in a dynamic emergency department located in Volcano, HI, serving a 28-bed ER that includes trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitored spaces. This contract role offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring a skilled RN prepared for rapid patient turnover and diverse clinical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the emergency setting across trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac monitoring areas
- Participate actively in a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective patient management
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards
- Respond promptly to emergencies with proficient clinical judgment and skills
Qualifications:
- Current active RN license in the State of Hawaii (must be obtained by assignment start if not already held)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Preferred certifications include Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC, though not mandatory
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, patient-focused environment with strong teamwork skills
Schedule/Hours:
- 15-week contract assignment
- Dayshift: Three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours total)
- No guaranteed hours beyond scheduled shifts
