Overview:

We are seeking Cashiers and Baristas to join Java Saga. Beginners are welcome. Your responsibility is to take orders from incoming customers, preparing beverages, sending out food to customers, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in the food industry and are passionate about Taiwanese food and beverages.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, smoothies, and other menu items.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
- Manage time effectively, ensuring that orders are fulfilled promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service.
- Perform basic math calculations to process transactions.
- Handle food and beverages in accordance with proper food handling procedures.

Requirements:

- Experience working in the food industry, preferably in a coffee shop or restaurant setting
(If you have little to no experience in food service, Java Saga will provide thorough training to assure maximum readiness).
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 60 per week

Experience:

• Food service: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Doraville, GA 30340 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Doraville, GA 30340: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
