Your Role as a Dental Hygienist:

As a Dental Hygienist, you will be recognized as an elite clinical provider and patient advocate. You’ll play a vital role in the patient care team, ensuring that each patient receives the time and care they deserve. With our robust Hygiene mentor program and exceptional educational offerings, you’ll be fully supported in providing outstanding lifetime care to your patients!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
  • A desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet patient needs
  • Ability to address clinical needs as required by the office

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential duties as required by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year
  • A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions, arranged during the pre-employment process
