Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract role is for a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K-5, 6-8, 9-12, including high school levels, located in Phoenix, AZ. The assignment begins in January 2026 and concludes in June 2026, offering a commitment of 30-37.5 hours per week across 5 days. The position involves working with a range of K-12 students in self-contained classrooms, resource settings, and special day classrooms.
Qualifications for this position require an active state teaching license in special education. Candidates should be prepared to manage a caseload of students with diverse learning needs and provide tailored instructional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement educational strategies
- Monitor and document student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and needs
