Laboratory Technician

Description
As a Laboratory Technician, one is responsible for processing raw biological materials (mostly cow and pig blood and separating the red and white blood cells) used in the manufacturing of their products, as well as maintaining and cleaning production equipment and containers after processing runs. The end products that this group supports are used to make calibrators for hematology instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Operates centrifuges and cleaning dishware
- Wraps cleaned equipment for further sterilization
- Batch and label product
- Document results, process and refer to past batch records
- Understand appropriate lab protocols and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) including regulatory awareness of chemical handling and hazards, compliance, and proper use of equipment
- Follow daily work instructions and priorities set by supervisor with a commitment to safety
- Participate in continuous process improvement efforts, identify and flag areas for improvement

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
