Job Description
A nationally recognized design-build contractor headquartered just outside Chicago is seeking a Project Manager with proven experience delivering data center projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of assigned data center and mission-critical projects, including preconstruction, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and schedule milestones
- Oversee project budgets, change orders, contracts, and cost controls
- Work collaboratively with design, engineering, and field operations to anticipate and solve issues before they impact performance
- Travel to job sites as needed throughout the U.S.
Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on industrial or mission-critical builds
- Strong background managing large-scale data center or MEP-intensive projects
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel nationally as projects require
