Position Summary

The Industrial Engineer (Entry Level) will support manufacturing and operations through the application of Lean Manufacturing principles and basic industrial engineering tools. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in process improvement, efficiency, CAD development, and continuous improvement. Prior work experience is not required, as training and mentoring will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

· Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives across production and support areas.

· Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

· Conduct time studies and assist in takt time calculations and line balancing activities.

· Develop and analyze process flow diagrams and spaghetti charts to identify waste and inefficiencies.

· Participate in and support Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.

· Assist in the development and updating of standard work instructions and visual controls.

· Collect, analyze, and present operational data related to productivity, efficiency, and throughput.

· Support layout planning in Auto CAD, simulation in SIMIO, design utilizing Auto Desk Inventor, and workstation optimization activities.

· Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams.

· Support 5S initiatives and workplace organization efforts.

· Document improvements and track action items resulting from improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

· Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Basic understanding of industrial engineering concepts such as process flow, cycle time, and waste elimination.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

· Academic exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts.

· Familiarity with tools such as value stream mapping, spaghetti diagrams, or time studies through coursework or projects.

· Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Training & Development

· On-the-job training in Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.

· Mentorship from experienced manufacturing and engineering professionals.

· Participation in continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events.

· Exposure to real-world manufacturing operations in a startup environment.

Work Environment

· Manufacturing floor and office environment.

· May require extended periods standing or walking on the production floor.

· Use of standard office and manufacturing safety equipment as required.
