BENEFITS ANALYST II

JOB DESCRIPTION
Experienced Benefits Analyst specializing in Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, supporting full-cycle leave processes across federal, state, and company-sponsored programs. Skilled in employee guidance, regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and cross-functional coordination. Adept at managing high-volume leave cases, ensuring smooth employee experiences, and maintaining data integrity in HR systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Senior Benefits Analyst in administering company leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave across all 50 states, Workers’ Compensation, and company-sponsored leave programs.
- Monitor and manage the Absence Management Inbox daily, ensuring timely response to employee inquiries and case updates.
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate leave processing and effective communication throughout the leave cycle.
- Manage a wide range of leave cases (intermittent, continuous, bonding, etc.) from initiation through return-to-work.
- Provide employees with clear guidance on eligibility, documentation, timelines, and steps throughout the leave process.
- Partner with third-party WC vendors to process Workers’ Compensation claims and support injured workers through case resolution.
- Assess employee eligibility for FMLA, state leave programs, and ADA accommodations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company procedures.
- Process employee LOA status changes in Workday, including placement on leave and return-to-work actions.
- Calculate Paid Parental Leave (PPL) eligibility and coordinate related pay processing with Payroll.
- Maintain and update the LOA Master Spreadsheet; conduct routine audits to ensure accuracy and compliance across all leave records.
- Support compliance initiatives across federal, state, and local LOA, ADA, and WC requirements.
- Assist with benefits projects and LOA/ADA/WC program enhancements as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in leave administration.
- Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave regulations, and Workers’ Compensation processes.
- Experience working in HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and case management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to support employees with clarity and empathy.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
