Accounting Manager
Located: Vernon, CT (Hybrid schedule)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will manage the accounting team, streamline financial processes, and provide strategic insights that drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments
- Utilize Quickbooks for efficient financial management and reporting
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Quickbooks
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
