Part-Time Evening Instructor - Electrical / Sound & Communication
Job Description
Job Description
The Milwaukee Electrical Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (MeJATC) is seeking experienced electrical and low-voltage professionals interested in teaching short-term Continuing Education (CE) courses on a part-time, evening basis. This role is ideal for someone who want to share their expertise and help train the next generation — without committing to a full-time teaching position.
Courses are typically taught in the evenings, run for a limited number of weeks, and focus on practical, field-relevant skills. No prior teaching experience is required. MeJATC provides instructional support, course structure, and materials.
Applicants should have strong, demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Motor controls and industrial motors
- Fire alarm systems (installation, troubleshooting, code application)
- Electrical or low-voltage code interpretation (NEC-focused)
- Networking, structured cabling, or building automation systems (BAS)
- Related electrical or sound & communication systems
You are not expected to teach all areas. Initial assignments will align with your strongest background.
