As a Line Technician A (or Apprentice), you'll join a safety-focused team responsible for all phases of electric line construction, operation, maintenance, and service work.A current Line Technician A is preferred; however, candidates may be hired as a Ground Technician with the opportunity - and expectation - to complete the Ohios Electric Cooperatives Ohio Line Worker Training (COLT) program.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Line Technician program completion or willingness to complete required training through COLT.

Technical & Safety Skills:

• Good working knowledge of electricity fundamentals, circuit connections, line voltages, phasing and transformer connections, switching devices, transmission and distribution standards, and electrical safety (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to interpret field prints and switching diagrams.
• Ability to work aloft on poles, towers, and structures while climbing or working from bucket truck.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid Class A CDL and Medical Examiners Certificate (or ability to obtain).

This position is based in Delaware, OH and requires on-call availability with residency within 30 minutes of the reporting station under normal conditions within 90 days of hire, unless otherwise approved.
