Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team and train within various as a general machine operator with fabrication duties, with Advancement opportunities. Join our team and work with a great, talented group here at SPS! 1st & 2nd Shift opportunities available.
Summary/Objective:The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting and grinding of a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations, with Training on various fabrication equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform general Fabrication and Cutting operations.
- Make proper set-ups for machine & cut operations.
- T-Pull, Roll & Cut-Groove operations
- Perform dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials to the supervisor.
- May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
- Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
Education and Experience:
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- 1 year of fabrication and machine operation preferred.
- Blueprint reading.
- Organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout the shift, including lifting and/or moving items at times that may be up to 50 pounds.
