Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N) and have a minimium of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized opportunity is available for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with expertise in both Nuclear Medicine and CT scanning. This contract position is based in Citrus Heights, CA, offering a stable daytime schedule with shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience, with a preference for three years, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures and technologies.

Responsibilities include performing advanced imaging procedures such as nuclear cardiology exams, gastric emptying studies, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, PET scans, and various perfusion and flow studies. The role also involves rotating weekend and evening call duties. Maintaining strict safety protocols for handling and disposing of radioactive materials, starting and maintaining intravenous lines, and drawing venous blood are critical components of the position. Technologists must be skilled in using equipment from major manufacturers such as Phillips and Siemens.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in Nuclear Medicine Technology; 3 years preferred
  • Experience as both Nuclear Medicine and CT Technologist required
  • Current CNMT certification and valid state license
  • Proficiency in a broad spectrum of nuclear medicine procedures including bone, brain, liver, renal imaging, pharmacological stress tests, and perfusion studies
  • Competency in IV insertion and venous blood drawing
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions
  • Familiarity with equipment from Phillips and Siemens
