This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Pharmacist with acute inpatient behavioral health experience seeking a per diem role in a specialized clinical setting. The position supports a newly established behavioral health environment focusing on psychiatry and substance use disorder (SUD) patients.
Located in Loveland, CO, this role includes initial training from April 22-27 and April 29-May 5, with 3 to 5 days of training required before starting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional on-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends for critical medication support. On-call duties involve troubleshooting Pyxis automation systems and managing urgent medication needs as patient admissions begin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders and dispense medications to patient units and Pyxis stations
- Provide Pyxis ES system support and troubleshooting assistance (training provided)
- Deliver clinical decision support to medical staff within the behavioral health setting
- Manage critical medication shortages during on-call shifts
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado pharmacy license is mandatory
- Experience in acute inpatient behavioral health pharmacy practice
- Familiarity with order entry systems such as HCS preferred
- Willingness to train on and provide support for Pyxis ES automation
