Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity calls for an experienced Radiation Therapist skilled in delivering advanced radiation treatments within a focused oncology setting. The role entails working directly with cancer and osteoarthritis patients, providing therapy through cutting-edge techniques such as SBRT, IMRT, breathhold treatments, and basic radiation therapy, using Trilogy and/or TrueBeam machines.
Responsibilities include the precise operation of radiation equipment under the guidance of Radiation Oncologists, conducting simulation procedures, and accurately documenting all treatment parameters. This role demands expertise in troubleshooting equipment issues, patient positioning, and collaboration with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to deliver safe and effective therapy. Patient interaction is a key component, requiring courteous and clear communication.
Key Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy / Radiography
- State of Louisiana certification in Radiation Therapy Technology
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical judgment and comprehensive knowledge of radiation therapy theory and practice
- Ability to efficiently operate Trilogy and/or TrueBeam radiation machines
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
