Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Hudson, NY
Position Overview
The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and providing technical expertise for our products and solutions. This position combines the skills of sales with engineering knowledge to assist customers in understanding product functionality and capabilities, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify leads and opportunities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers during the sales process.
- Understand customer requirements and design solutions that meet their needs using our products.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.
- Assist in the development of sales strategies and marketing materials to effectively promote our products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing and mold fabrication process helpful
- Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and their applications in industrial environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple customer accounts.
- Regional travel 25%-50%
