We are partnering with a property management company seeking a Senior Property Accountant to prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties. This role covers financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and collaboration with operations to ensure accurate and timely accounting.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations
- Create and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, capex, property taxes, insurance, etc.)
- Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, management fees, and distribution calculations
- Assist with property budgets and forecasts
- Handle treasury tasks including transfers, wires/ACH, and positive pay issues
- Review accounts payable for accuracy, coding, and approvals
- Partner with operations to resolve accounting questions and provide financial guidance
- Support quarterly and annual external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Real estate industry experience/property accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and property accounting principles
- Entrata or Yardi software experience is a plus
