Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $1,995/week
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Winston-Salem, NC. The Med Surg/Tele RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions while monitoring cardiac rhythms and other vital signs. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled in both general med-surg care and telemetry monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring.
- Observe and interpret telemetry readings, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, diagnoses, and discharge instructions.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.
- Respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions and critical care skills.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety practices.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
