Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Operator II - Mix Coat is a skilled role responsible for executing manufacturing tasks with increased independence. This role requires competence in basic equipment setup, initial troubleshooting, and material handling, performed under the guidance of senior Operators and supervision. The Manufacturing Operator II works to ensure production efficiency and compliance with GMP, FDA, and DEA standards while supporting process improvements.
- This role is located is West St. Paul, MN
- This role is 2nd shift- 2:00pm - 10:30pm M-F
Duties/Responsibilities:
Technical Operations & Equipment Expertise
- Perform equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting with moderate supervision.
- Execute weighing, dispensing, and mixing operations.
- Assist with equipment changeovers, including cleaning and material movement.
- Conduct in-process control (IPC) sampling and testing during mixing and/or coating operations with moderate supervision.
- Maintain 5S standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Manufacturing Documentation & Compliance
- Understand and follow GMP, FDA, and DEA regulations.
- Complete basic documentation tasks accurately, including downtime tracking and material labeling.
- Support final production closing and material reconciliation of batch records.
Leadership & Training

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel).
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Standing for extended periods, performing physically demanding tasks.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs as required.
- Exposure to chemicals, solvents, and production machinery in a controlled environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
