Surf City Pet Hospital is looking for a Full time Veterinarian to work at a well-established privately owned practice that has been serving its community since May of 2002. In 2020 we moved into a new facility with up to date cutting edge equipment. SCPH is looking for a motivated, organized, personable associate to add to our 3-doctor practice. New Graduates welcome.
Salary and benefits negotiable - depending on experience and benefits.
Associate Veterinarian Responsibilities:
- Examining pets to diagnose various illnesses, diseases, and injuries.
- Treating pets by prescribing appropriate medications, cleaning, dressing wounds, performing other medical procedures.
- Collecting samples of pets' blood, urine, and feces as required.
- Operating radiographic and ultrasound equipment to conduct further diagnostic testing.
- Euthanizing pets in cases where medical treatment is, or would be, ineffective.
- Advising pet owners on proper aftercare following medical procedures.
- Updating pet records following each treatment and medical procedure.
