We are currently seeking a Claims and Compliance Coordinator in our Fairview Park, Ohio office to support our Risk Department and help ensure claims, compliance, audits, reporting, and vendor processes are handled accurately and efficiently. If you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a compliance-focused, highly administrative environment, we want to talk to you!In the Claims and Compliance Coordinator role, you would support the Risk Department and operations field by managing unemployment claims, assisting with compliance audits, maintaining accurate reporting, and communicating with internal teams, vendors, third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and legal counsel. This position’s main functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage unemployment insurance claims, appeals, deadlines, documentation, and related communication.
- Conduct compliance audits related to background checks, Pre-Adverse Action notices, I-9, E-Verify, and internal controls.
- Review vendor reports and support staff with compliance-related questions or case resolution.
- Prepare and maintain Risk Department reports, including compliance scorecards, unemployment claim trends, audits, and executive review items.
- Review subpoenas of records and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
- Provide training and guidance on claims reporting, return-to-work practices, compliance, and other risk-related topics.
- Assist with vendor setup, user profile management, system implementation, and ongoing vendor relationships.
Requirements
- This is an in office position located in Fairview Park, Ohio
- Prior experience in claims, compliance, risk management, HR compliance, or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of unemployment claims, FCRA, I-9, E-Verify, and employment compliance is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and time management.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn company systems, vendor platforms, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
