Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist in Aurora, CO, offering a 13-week contract with potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, and rotating weekends.

Location: Aurora, CO
Type: Contract (13 weeks, contract to hire)
Schedule:

  • Flexible day and evening shifts (start as early as 7 am, end as late as 11 pm)
  • Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications to patients
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
  • Ensure the supply and handling of medicines comply with legal regulations
  • Maintain confidential and accurate patient and pharmacy records
  • Educate patients about medication usage, possible side effects, and answer questions
  • Consult on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage and drug interactions
  • Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
  • Train patients on proper use of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
  • Compound and prepare sterile medications following established procedures
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
  • Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
  • Identify and communicate drug-related problems with healthcare practitioners
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Colorado pharmacist license required (must be in-hand)
  • Open to training pharmacists from retail backgrounds with relevant experience
