Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed for a K-12 educational setting in Paterson, NJ. This contract position is for a full semester, covering a leave of absence from March 21 to June 13. The role involves working five days per week across two schools, primarily focusing on 3rd to 5th grade students, along with one high school self-contained class.
Responsibilities include providing individualized speech and language therapy to a diverse student population with varying needsfrom nonverbal students using Proloquo2Go on iPads to those with articulation goals. The caseload reflects a wide range of communication disorders, requiring adaptable and evidence-based intervention strategies.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP license with CCC certification preferred
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in elementary and special education settings
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, including Proloquo2Go
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and school teams
