Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a cardiac cath lab role requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and current AHA certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
- Adult cardiovascular patient population
- Procedures include invasive cardiac and vascular imaging, scrubbing, and operating imaging equipment
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours per week
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Assist physicians with radiological imaging, act as scrub assistant, and maintain sterile technique during cardiac and vascular procedures
- Operate imaging equipment, monitor and document procedures in the control room
- Educate patients and families about procedures and expectations
- Support quality and patient safety initiatives and assist with unit organization
- Separation of at least one year required for returning permanent staff
- Allow two weeks for background check and drug screening process
- Start dates may be delayed if compliance requirements are not met on schedule

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab or cardiology specialty
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Registered ARRT, RCIS, or RCES required, or must obtain RCIS within 18 months of hire
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Fluoroscopy certification required
- Must supply personal radiation badge
- Active state license required if applicable
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
