Location: York, Maine
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Day Shift
- 4 x 9-hour shifts
- Shift Hours: Between 06:45 AM – 04:15 PM
- On-Call Required (Must be able to return within 45 minutes)
- Holiday coverage required
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a high-performing Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will bring strong orthopedic surgical experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Set up and break down the operating room before and after surgeries
- Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols
- Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies appropriately
- Assist in orthopedic procedures, including use of specialized instruments and implants
- Monitor and manage inventory of surgical supplies
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff
- Respond to on-call duties and emergency surgical cases as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience
- Orthopedic surgical experience (Required)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Expertise in sterile techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
