Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent travel experience, proficiency with Epic EMR, and an active IA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Med Surg Tele unit with a focus on post-operative surgical care
- Initial training on the 3E unit before transitioning to 5E
- Care for a variety of med surg patient types, including telemetry and cardiac
- Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses
- Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
- Must be willing and open to extending employment beyond the initial contract period
- Responsibilities include providing patient care across a variety of med surg scenarios, including post-op and telemetry patients
- No first-time travelers will be considered for this role
- One professional reference from a supervisor within the last 24 months is preferred

- Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Minimum of 24 months current Med Surg or Med Surg Tele RN experience required
- Recent experience completing at least one travel contract in the past 18 months is required
- Experience with Epic EMR and Heparin administration required
- Skills in telemetry and cardiac care highly preferred
- Charge and preceptor experience highly preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
