Job Title: Behavior Technician (BT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to provide direct, one-on-one support to individuals with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT will implement individualized behavior intervention plans to help clients develop essential skills and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavior intervention services in home, school, or community settings.
- Implement treatment plans developed by a BCBA, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Collect accurate data on client progress and communicate findings to the supervising BCBA.
- Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to teach communication, social, self-help, and academic skills.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies and positive behaviors.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other team members to support client success.
- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and supervision as required.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelors degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).
- Completion of Behavior Technician training or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities a plus.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and work as part of a team.
Work Environment:
- Sessions may take place in homes, schools, clinics, or community settings.
- Requires physical activity, including bending, lifting, or playing with clients.
