Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: 7310 West Morris Street Indianapolis IN 46231

Duration: 2 months 24 days of contract on W2

Shifts Available:

Shift 1: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Shift 2: 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM

NOTE: There is OT opportunity as production lines are scheduled to work OT. If a production line is scheduled to work OT, the engineers assigned to that line will be required to work OT alongside them.

Job Description:

Engineering - Manufacturing Manages high complexity design and planning of layout for assembly and materials handling. Adaptation of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Planning of sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

Below is a description but I do want to call out that that these roles will spend a lot of time on the production floor supporting machine down time to get them back up and running.

Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies, acting as the technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.

Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues; providing technical support to maintenance, tool room and production, as requested.

Recommend, specify and implement preventive maintenance procedures.

Plan, coordinate and implement repairs, modifications and improvements to equipment and tooling.

Ensure equipment is properly released to production after preventative maintenance or repairs.

Lead Kaizen events resulting in higher line output and greater efficiency.

Utilize maintenance and tooling management system, purchase order system and various other planning systems.

Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas for the operations team.

Model and promote adherence to OSHA regulations and Carrier environmental, health and safety policies and initiatives.

Fostering a positive working relationship with union representatives by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

There is opportunity to extend beyond 09/30/26, in the event we do not fill the job via Carrier recruitment. There is also potential for conversion to Carrier depending on the performance/ conversion fees.


Preferred controls experience.
