Kirtley & Stuckwisch Dental, a privately owned three doctor practice located in Seymour, Indiana, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. In this vital role, you will provide top-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and confidentiality. Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records using Dentrix software
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality
  • Monitor and operate dental equipment safely while ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements

  • Valid Indiana licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
  • Experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical records management
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
  • Expertise in infection control practices including sterilization techniques and healthcare infection prevention standards
  • Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care coordination
  • Commitment to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
