Job Description
Job Description
Let’s be real — working at Distrito is intense, fast-paced, fun, and sometimes chaotic (in the best way). We’re looking for experienced baristas who can handle volume, care deeply about what they do, and want more than just another shift-based job.
This role is for someone who sees themselves growing into leadership — someone who eventually wants to run the show, lead a team, and help shape how the shop operates day to day.
What we’re looking for:
-
Barista experience required (you’re comfortable on bar and during rushes)
-
Weekend availability is a must (Saturdays and Sundays)
-
Someone who doesn’t hide behind fake customer-service smiles
-
People who can hustle under pressure and stay sharp when it gets hectic
-
Folks who want to keep learning about coffee, systems, and shop operations
-
Someone who understands that every interaction matters — drinks, register, team, and regulars
What you’ll be doing:
-
Preparing high-quality espresso and coffee drinks consistently
-
Handling high-volume rushes with confidence and efficiency
-
Delivering real, authentic customer service
-
Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional bar
-
Supporting teammates and helping set the tone on shift
Growth & leadership opportunities:
-
Opportunity to grow into a Lead Barista or Store Manager role
-
Hands-on involvement in training, opening/closing procedures, and daily operations
-
Learn how to run shifts, manage flow, and lead a team
-
Be part of building systems — not just following them
-
Long-term path for someone who wants real responsibility and ownership
We’re building something at Distrito. This isn’t just another coffee shop job — it’s about joining a crew that actually cares about the craft, the community, and doing things the right way.
When you apply, don’t just send a résumé.
Tell us who you are. What drives you? What’s your go-to coffee order? What music gets you through a long shift? We want the real you — not the interview version.
If you’re ready to step up and grow with us, apply and let’s talk.
