Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a 27-bed unit with required travel and trauma experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work on a 27-bed medical-surgical unit caring for a diverse inpatient population
- Patient population primarily elderly, but includes adults 18+ with diagnoses including post-op ortho, general surgery, substance use, CHF, and pneumonia
- RN to patient ratio is 1:5; LNA to patient ratio is 1:3
- Performs post-surgical drains, central line care, Foley insertion, tube management, IV medication administration, wound care, and oxygen therapy
- 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week
- Required to work every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
- No local candidates permitted; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
- Unit is open to longer contract options
- Role includes care for both medical and post-surgical patients with a focus on elderly adults
- Holiday coverage is required as scheduled

- Active NH RN or Compact License with proof of state residency
- Minimum of 2 years recent equivalent Med/Surg experience
- Completion of at least 2 prior travel assignments
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
