One Care DC, Inc is a behavioral health agency located in Washington DC has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical services within their scope of work. The individual must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the agency and its overall success. Must have the ability to think globally, promptly solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills.


  • Ensures that all clinical documentation is timely, clinically appropriate, and adheres to all regulatory standards.
  • Educate on the potential benefits and risks of medication.
  • Monitor the consumers medication compliance with prescribed psychiatric medications.
  • Monitor consumers compliance to mental health regimen.
  • Monitor the side effects and interactions of medications and the adverse reactions to medications.
  • Educate on self-monitoring and medication management.
  • Crisis Intervention.
  • Provide interventions needed for effective mental health treatment.
  • Provides input for enhanced consumer care during weekly clinical team meetings, supervision, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities including consumer satisfaction reports and clinical outcomes.
  • Conduct triage and obtain medical histories
  • Prescribing medications
  • Manage consumer care and devise individualized care plans
  • Complete Diagnostic Assessments
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain detailed consumer records and documentation
  • Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, DBH and The Joint Commission standards

Education and Licensing Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Nursing
  • Licensed as a NP in the District of Columbia
