Position Summary The Senior Healthcare Recruiter partners with managers to anticipate and meet evolving staffing needs across Howard University Hospital. This role manages the full recruitment lifecycle for healthcare positions at all levels, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, and onboarding. Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment (30%)
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting processes, including posting, screening, and selection in collaboration with hiring managers. - Candidate Assessment
  • Review applicant qualifications, verify employment eligibility, and conduct reference and background checks. - Offer Management
  • Extend employment offers, negotiate salaries, and drive offer acceptance. - Interview Coordination
  • Schedule interviews, coordinate panels, and communicate job details, compensation, and benefits to candidates. - Recruitment Strategy
  • Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, and resume databases. - Metrics & Analysis
  • Track and report recruitment metrics; analyze hiring and turnover data to improve processes. - Vendor & Event Management
  • Manage third-party vendor requests and represent HUH at career fairs and networking events. - Additional Duties

Support other HR initiatives as assigned.Required Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years recruiting healthcare professionals at all levels.
  • Proficiency with ATS, HRIS, and contemporary sourcing tools.

Competencies:

  • Expert knowledge of HR and staffing practices.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and healthcare trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data for decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel for career fairs and networking events.
  • Requires sitting for extended periods; occasional walking and lifting up to 35 lbs.
