Job Description

Position Summary

Located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the International Crane Foundation (ICF) is a global leader in the conservation of cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and flyways they depend on. With a mission that spans across continents, ICF works through science, education, and partnerships to ensure the survival of these majestic birds. ICF is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Events Coordinator to help bring our mission to life through engaging, high-quality fundraising, marketing, and outreach events. This role supports ICF's conservation mission by planning and executing events that increase public awareness, strengthen donor relationships, and generate critical philanthropic support.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer contributions, generous paid time off, and additional perks designed to support work-life balance and well-being. This is a full-time, salaried position with a range of $52,000-$56,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Events Coordinator plays a central role in managing all aspects of event delivery, including logistics, timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, and staffing. In collaboration with Development leadership, this position helps design events that advance donor engagement and fundraising goals. As part of the External Affairs Department, the Coordinator ensures that all event materials-print, digital, signage, displays, and presentations-align with brand standards and contribute to a consistent, high-impact public presence.

This role also leads the coordination and maintenance of event materials and traveling displays used at festivals, outreach events, and conservation gatherings across the U.S. The Events Coordinator recruits, trains, and manages volunteers and staff for events, oversees on-site execution, and provides hands-on support from setup through wrap-up. Post-event, the Coordinator supports evaluations, donor tracking, and stewardship efforts to ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement.

Additional responsibilities include supporting virtual events and webinars, assisting with event-related communications and mailings, managing Speaker's Bureau, and serving as lead logistics manager for off-site outreach and conservation events.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and at least two years of event planning or project management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising environment. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with familiarity with event or CRM tools. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Experience in nonprofit fundraising, volunteer coordination, and a passion for conservation are strongly preferred.Top of Form
