Role Summary
The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing accurate and timely invoices in accordance with client agreements, fee schedules, and internal policies. This role partners closely with attorneys, operations, and finance teams to ensure billing accuracy, compliance, and prompt revenue recognition while supporting strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue client invoices accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, rate agreements, and fee schedules
- Review time entries, costs, and expenses for accuracy and completeness
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client billing inquiries
- Process billing adjustments, credits, and write-offs as approved
- Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with accounts receivable on collections and payment application
- Support month-end close, reporting, and audit requests
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and billing policies

Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of billing experience in legal, title, or professional services environment
- Experience with billing systems and accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of client billing guidelines and compliance requirements preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift and overtime as needed.
- Monday to Friday
- Hybrid - Remote Schedule
