Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $3,500 – $4,275 Weekly Gross (Based on Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Behavioral Health for a 13-week assignment at a healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY. The ADON will support nursing leadership in planning, developing, and overseeing programs designed to enhance patient care quality and employee performance within the Behavioral Health department.
This leadership role requires strong clinical expertise, supervisory experience, and the ability to drive quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement programs to improve patient care and nursing performance

Monitor patient care performance metrics and collaborate with Nurse Managers to address identified gaps

Assist in implementing corrective action plans when necessary

Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors, incident reports, and counseling documentation

Support compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards

Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff

Participate in quality improvement and performance evaluation initiatives
Required Experience
-
Minimum 7 years of nursing experience

At least 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role

Assistant Director of Nursing experience required

Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health experience required
Education
-
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Certifications & Licensure

Active RN License

Primary Source Verification of RN License through the NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
