Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support middle school students in Northeast Minneapolis, MN from April 6 through June 10. This role involves working primarily with 7th and 8th grade students who have mild to moderate special education needs, managing a caseload of approximately 8 students.
Two positions are open, offering flexibility in hours for your convenience:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
- Part-time: Approximately 20 hours per week
Key qualifications and requirements:
- Experience teaching special education, preferably at the middle school level
- Ability to work effectively with students who have mild to moderate disabilities
- Willingness to travel and adapt to new school environments
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning
- Monitoring student progress and adapting instruction accordingly
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation and communication with families and the school team
