Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA) – Cardiovascular Services (Contract Assignment)
Location: NYP Queens Medical Group

Assignment Type: Contract
Assignment Dates: September 1, 2025 – November 8, 2025
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes a 45-minute break; shift may fluctuate)
Travel: May be required to travel to other NYP Queens locations within Queens, NY
Position Summary:
NYP Queens Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for a 9-week contract assignment within our Cardiovascular Services department. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities and requires flexibility with location and hours.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in patient care under the direction of healthcare providers

Perform EKGs, Holter monitoring, and full vital signs

Conduct blood draws and other lab/phlebotomy procedures
-
Document patient information using EPIC EMR (strongly preferred)

Provide administrative support including managing and communicating test results

Ensure clinical workflows are completed efficiently and in compliance with quality standards
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
-
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program (Required)

BLS Certification (Required)
-
Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA) (Preferred)
-
1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred)

EPIC EMR experience (Strongly Preferred)

Prior cardiovascular care experience (Required)

Knowledge of clinical procedures: EKGs, Holter monitoring, vital signs, lab draws

Strong communication and multitasking skills
