Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in sterile compounding within a home infusion environment. The role involves filling prescriptions, preparing IV admixtures, and providing support to pharmacists to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, allowing you to demonstrate your skills over an initial 8-week period with potential for direct hire.
Location: Aurora, CO
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am 6:30 pm
- Rotating Saturdays
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous admixtures under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to input data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement
- Assist pharmacists with the final check and packaging of medications
- Maintain inventory accuracy, assist with receiving and rotating stock, documenting lot numbers and expiration dates
- Support a clean and safe workspace by monitoring equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness in partnership with the Technician Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:
- Sterile compounding experience required
- Background in home infusion or inpatient hospital pharmacy settings preferred
- Cleanroom operational knowledge and experience
- Valid Colorado pharmacy technician license
- National pharmacy technician certification
