Job Title: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage
Role Summary
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day excellence of our restaurant, bar, and event spaces. As an on-the-floor lead, you will bridge the gap between management and frontline team members, ensuring that service standards are met, inventory is managed, and every guest enjoys an elevated experience. You will act as a mentor to the team while maintaining a high-energy, solutions-oriented presence during peak service hours.
Responsibilities
Operations & Service Excellence
- Daily Support: Oversee food and beverage operations across the restaurant, bar, and event spaces to ensure timely, consistent, and high-quality service.
- On-the-Floor Leadership: Step in to assist team members during peak hours, maintaining a calm and professional presence to guide the floor through high-volume periods.
- Guest Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for guests; resolve concerns immediately and proactively ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Event Support: Assist in event preparation, including bar setup and specialty drink execution. Provide day-of guidance to the team for setup, execution, and breakdown.
Team Development & Leadership
- Training & Onboarding: Help onboard new team members by sharing operational knowledge and reinforcing the service expectations set by Leadership.
- Performance Feedback: Observe team performance and relay constructive feedback or operational concerns to the Director of F&B for follow-up.
- Mentorship: Assist with training sessions to reinforce policies regarding service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Administrative & Inventory Management
- Menu Collaboration: Work with the Director of F&B to maintain and update beverage menus, ensuring offerings are seasonal and brand aligned.
- Inventory Control: Participate in monthly beverage inventory counts and assist with data entry. Communicate supply needs to prevent shortages and support proper stock rotation.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain restaurant cleanliness and maintenance by implementing daily checklists and upholding all local, state, and federal health and safety standards.
- Reporting: Maintain clear and timely communication with the Leadership team regarding operational updates, team needs, or service quality issues.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in hospitality (F&B, restaurant, hotel, or events). Experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and uphold a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Communication: Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks during fast-paced service and events.
- Scheduling: Comfortable assisting with basic scheduling coordination and relaying team feedback to leadership.
- Mindset: A guest-first mindset with a commitment to doing things "the right way" and a dedication to hospitality-focused service.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50–100 pounds occasionally.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
