Compensation
- Pay Range:
- Minimum: $47.30/hr
- Mid-Level: $56.31/hr
- Maximum: $65.20/hr
- Compensation based on years of experience
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager – Trauma Program to lead and coordinate a comprehensive trauma care program within an acute care hospital setting. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing trauma program operations, quality improvement initiatives, trauma registry management, policy development, and trauma designation readiness.
The Trauma Program Manager will collaborate closely with physicians, emergency medical services, hospital leadership, and community agencies to ensure exceptional trauma patient care across the continuum of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesTrauma Program Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective trauma care system
- Coordinate trauma patient care activities throughout the continuum of care
- Serve as liaison between the hospital and:
- EMS providers
- Fire departments
- Police departments
- Ambulance services
- State trauma authorities
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration for trauma services
Clinical Oversight & Quality Improvement
- Conduct concurrent monitoring and evaluation of trauma patient care
- Review trauma medical records and maintain trauma registry documentation
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action plans
- Monitor trauma response quality and patient outcomes
- Participate in trauma performance improvement initiatives
Policy Development & Compliance
- Develop and update trauma program policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with:
- State trauma regulations
- Trauma program standards
- NH TEMSIS computerized Patient Care Reporting requirements
- Maintain readiness for regulatory and accreditation reviews
Trauma Designation & Readiness
- Coordinate preparation for:
- State trauma designation reviews
- American College of Surgeons (ACS) site visits
- Assist with trauma verification and accreditation processes
Education & Professional Development
- Maintain current trauma care knowledge through:
- Continuing education
- Conferences
- Research and evidence-based practice
- Ongoing certifications
- Support trauma education initiatives within the organization
Operational Support
- Respond to trauma activations during working hours
- Provide clinical guidance during trauma responses
- Assist emergency department leadership with trauma and resource initiatives
Required QualificationsEducation
- Nursing Degree required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of recent trauma patient care experience in an acute care setting
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire required
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
Preferred Certification
- CEN Certification preferred
