ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a wide range of design and integration projects focused on factory automation and industrial systems. This role involves designing electrical circuits panels enclosures and cabling for complex automation environments and supporting the integration of PLC based control systems Ethernet communications robotics and power distribution.
The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering and management teams to define system requirements design electrical solutions and support the assembly and deployment of newly designed systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design electrical circuits panels enclosures and cabling for factory automation systems
Develop and integrate PLC based factory control systems
Electrically integrate industrial machinery and disparate components into unified automation systems
Design and integrate industrial safety components into automation systems
Create complete electrical schematics for entire systems using CAD tools
Support mechanical and electrical integration using CAD modeling tools
Use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for system testing and troubleshooting
Support electrical assembly processes including panels enclosures and cables
Collaborate with vendors to select components and support purchased equipment
Partner with management and engineering teams to define system requirements and specifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
4 or more years of experience in electrical engineering focused on factory automation or industrial system integration
Strong experience designing PLC based control systems
Strong experience integrating industrial machinery and safety components into automation systems
Proficiency creating full electrical schematics using AutoCAD Microsoft Visio or similar tools
Proficiency using mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
Hands on experience using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
Strong understanding of electrical assembly documentation and processes
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience working directly with vendors to source automation components
Experience supporting system build out installation or commissioning
