Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Tooling Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be directly responsible for preparing, maintaining, and optimizing tooling for advanced CNC, honing, and laser machining systems. You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and installation teams to ensure world-class quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and install tooling for high-precision machining systems.

  • Inspect, measure, and verify tooling components to ensure exact tolerances.

  • Assist with machine setups, adjustments, and trial runs to validate tooling performance.

  • Perform tooling rework, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

  • Support installation and commissioning teams for new equipment builds.

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop improved tooling processes and resolve technical challenges.

  • Maintain accurate records of tooling specifications, maintenance, and usage history.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, quality procedures, and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in tooling, machine setup, or precision machining.

  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with honing, grinding, or laser machining equipment.

  • Familiarity with tooling materials, coatings, and wear patterns.

  • Previous commissioning, installation, or field service experience.
