Location: Ashland City, TN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Industrial Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain mechanical or hydraulic press machines used in the manufacturing of parts or components. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures

  • Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and placement in the press

  • Monitor press operation to detect malfunctions or defects and make adjustments as needed

  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met (visual checks, measuring tools, etc.)

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment to ensure optimal operation

  • Document production runs, downtime, and material usage accurately

  • Follow safety guidelines including the use of PPE, lockout/tagout, and proper lifting techniques

  • Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to resolve issues

  • Identify and communicate potential mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting preferred

  • Familiarity with operating mechanical, hydraulic, or servo press machines

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with physical demands (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs)

  • Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset

  • Basic math and measuring tool skills (tape measure, calipers, micrometers)

  • Forklift certification is a plus

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and production-related hazards

  • Standing and moving for extended periods

  • Use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toe boots required
