Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a middle school located in Claremont, NH. The role focuses on supporting students with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum, requiring experience in behavior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to middle school students with special needs
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to autism
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students
- Strong background in behavior management, specifically with autism
- Ability to create individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
