Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in West Valley City, UT. The position is a contract role starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year. The role involves providing specialized instructional support and accommodations to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in accordance with their individualized education plans.
Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching License in the state of Utah
- Experience working with K-12 students needing specialized education
- Ability to tailor instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and instructional approaches
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies for educational growth
- Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and communication with families
- Support inclusive classroom environments by fostering student engagement and developing social skills
